District II provides services to the rural areas of Buckeye, Laveen, Mobile, Rainbow Valley, Tonopah, and the town of Gila Bend, all communities within the southwest quadrant of Maricopa County. The southwest quadrant encompasses an area totaling 5,200 square miles.

The District is comprised of one main station in Avondale, two satellite stations; one substation is located in Buckeye, and the other in Gila Bend.

In 1999, District II deputies responded to approximately 42,700 calls, roughly 700 calls per year per deputy within the division. The busiest months were March and July. Each of these months had more than 3,800 calls for service.

The Avondale facility also houses the Southwest Regional Jail. The jail is capable of holding 52 inmates. Primarily it is used as a booking center by deputies and other local law enforcement agencies. The Gila Bend facility also contains a jail. When staffed, this jail can house 14 inmates.

The town of Gila Bend is the only Contract City serviced by District II. The contract calls for one solo patrol unit (one deputy & car) 56% of the time. On average, the calls for service each month total 298.
